Michael Houtz is a graphic designer, art director, and illustrator based in New York. He is currently working for The New York Times Opinion, and has previously worked for Esquire Magazine and The New York Times Magazine.
In addition to publishing he’s worked for branding agencies like Pentagram, Standard Black, and The Heads of State creating identities for a broad range of clients that have included Adidas Y-3, DC Comics, Netflix, Nike, Warner Brothers, and many more.
His illustrations have been featured in The Atlantic, Esquire, The Economist, Vanity Fair, and The New York Times.
